Project 365 Catches Up

These last two week of the semester have been the busiest since I started working. As such, this post will be really long. I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Day 105: One of my Spotify playlists.

Day 106: One of my students imitating a supervisor. They always know how to make me laugh!

Day 107: Admiring more great artwork. I wish I could share a picture of each piece from the gallery.

Day 108: The Emily Dickinson house in in MA. What a beautiful place.

Day 109: Some of the best pizza in New London.

Day 110: Enjoying a tapas bar for the first time.

 Day 111: New winter clothes!

Day 112: Mac'n'cheese pizza. NOTHING BETTER IN THE WORLD.

Day 113: Okay, maybe hot chocolate/coffee with fresh cinnamon is better than pizza...

Day 114: Did you know tonic water glows under black lights?

Day 115: Shopping for TRCC's Thanksgiving dinners. We filled up the whole truck.

Day 116: Artichoke and quinoa. So delish...

Day 117: Starting prep for TRCC's Thanksgiving dinner pick-up.

Day 118: We at TRCC served over 40 families complete Thanksgiving dinners this year!

Day 119: In this picture, I may be the happiest I've ever been.

And that's it for this Project 365 post! Happy Thanksgiving to everybody. I'll see you next week!

Project 365 goes to Yankee Candle Village

Up here in New England, the weather is changing fast. We had our first snow shower this week, and the treetops are bare of leaves. Work is a blur, as well, as we prepare for the holidays. This Thanksgiving, we're excited to be feeding 25 families (at least) full Thanksgiving dinners. It's a big process, but the payoff is so worth it.

But enough talking! Here are this week's pictures:

Day 98: My plant baby grew a new shoot! I love it so much.

Day 99: I finally got my phone back! It looks a little different now, so the resale value is probably shot. But it's unique, like me.

Day 100: Watching Despicable Me 2! It was so cute!

Day: 101: Enjoying cappuccino at Judie's in Amherst, MA. This place is famous for a reason.

Day 102: Cappuccino again! I'm addicted.

Day 103: The first snowfall of fall 2013 in CT!

Day 104: Best date this year: 11/12/13.

In other news, I'm on to reading THE SHELTERING SKY. Bowles is brilliant, and I find myself making lots of notes in the margins. Does Port strike anyone else as a little psychopathic though? And Kit's no normal chick, herself.

I watched the original version of THE GREAT GATSBY over the weekend. Seeing the beginning made me appreciate the book anew as well as see Nick's evolution in a different light. I loved how close the director stuck to the book. Lots of lines came straight out of it, which I really enjoyed.

I'm also watching United States of Tara, which is a Showtime show. It's great! Much different than SYBIL, if you're familiar with multiple personalities.

Project 365 Writes an Emergency Post

I promised to update with the pictures I missed when my phone broke. So here they are!

Day 78: Flowers. That's how I start fall. :)

Day 79: Chocolate chip bacon cookies. Don't knock 'em till you try 'em.

Day 80: The guidebook for Pokemon X and Y came out. It's already filled with my notes and strategies.

Day 81: My VISTA supervisor at TRCC takes such good care of me!

We're officially caught up. See you next Wednesday. Enjoy your weekends in the meantime!

Project 365 Catches Snorlax

Another week in the life of Project 365 has come and gone. Do you remember the midnight release of Pokemon X and Y a few weeks ago? Well, this week, I caught a real-live Snorlax! And I celebrated Halloween as Batwoman.

Enjoy these pics.

Day 91: Practicing my Halloween faces.

 92: It's Halloween, and we're terrifying.

Day 93: Halloween candy haul. I've been munching all day...

Day 94: Amazing piece of artwork at a local coffee shop.

Day 95: Working on my NaNoWriMo novel.

Day 96: It's a Snorlax, and I caught him in a Master Ball! See also assorted teas and chocolate.

Day 97: Twinsies! And we didn't even plan it.

In other news, I'm nearly 10k into my NaNoWriMo novel, and I've decided to start over from scratch. I've...found I can't write something that I'm not passionate about. Right now, I'm not passionate about lesbian erotica. I'm more into fighting and exploring poverty in our modern age.

I've had six poems published this week as well. We'll be seeing them in print soon. More details on that as soon as I have them.

This weekend I'm headed to New Hampshire with some dear friends in AmeriCorps. We're going to climb Mount Washington. And I have the date of my marathon: April 21 of 2014. I'm currently battling some intense leg and ankle pain, but I hope to be back on my game in a few days.

That's all for this week! See you soon.
